Wonderland T-Shirt

Twitter m’a permis de connaître mieux certains artistes, mais aussi de rencontrer des créateurs que je n’aurais jamais croisé autrement. C’est le cas de PettiBear, styliste israëlienne qui vend ses créations sur Etsy. Après avoir découvert mes illustrations réalisées pour le fanzine Rouenzine sur Alice aux pays des merveilles, elle m’a contacté pour collaborer à la création d’un t-shirt sérigraphié.
Le tee-shirt est sérigraphié à la main par PettiBear et disponible en plusieurs couleurs d’encre et de t-shirt pour 32 euros frais de port inclus (expédié d’Israël).

Twitter allowed me to get to know better some of the artists I met on the Internet, as well as meet new people whom I wouldn’t have met otherwise. One such chance encounter is that with PettiBear, an Israeli stylist selling her work at Etsy. She saw the Alice in Wonderland artworks I made for the Rouenzine fanzine and contacted me with a proposition to work on a screen-print T-shirt together.
My illustration is hand screen-printed by PettiBear, and both the design and the T-shirt are available in a number of colours for 32€ (delivery from Israel included).

Exposition | Exhibit

L’après-midi d’hier a été forte en émotion, retourner dans son ancienne école, revoir d’anciens professeurs et de bons amis… Une exposition particulière qui force à faire un bilan et à constater tout le chemin parcouru depuis c’est 7 années passées hors du cocon rassurant de l’école. Heureusement, le bilan est positif et même si tout n’est pas encore parfait et que la vie d’artiste est difficile, je suis heureuse de vivre mon rêve et je ne regrette en aucun cas mes choix!
Trop occupée à papoter, je n’ai pris que peu de photos, mais voici quant même un petit aperçu…

Yesterday afternoon was really moving, I came to see the exhibit at my old art school, met old teachers and good friends…
It made me think of the past seven years spent outside of the reassuring school coccoon. I must say, that the conslusion I drew is rather positive; even though the artist life is difficult, I don’t regret  my carreer choice and am happy to say that I am living my dream!

Girl Love en papier découpé | Papercut

Voici ma dernière oeuvre-expérimentation. L’adaptation du visuel Girl Love en papier découpé. Je suis une grand fan de cet art délicat et cela faisait une éternité que je souhaitais faire un petit essai… Je me lancerai bientôt dans des dessins un peu plus complexes, mais il faut avouer que celui-là m’a déjà demandé pas mal de temps et de concentration!

This is my latest experiment - a papercut version of my Girl Love artwork. I am a big fan of the delicate art of papercut, and I wanted to try making one myself for a very long time! I hope to work on more complex designs soon, but I must admit that this one has already taken me a lot of patience and concentration!

Vanité à la Rose – Exposition à l’ESAT

Voici la toute dernière vanité « Vanité à la rose » réalisée pour une petite exposition à l’ESAT (école de communication graphique où j’ai fait mes études, il y a quelques années maintenant).
Cette exposition aura lieu à l’occasion des portes ouvertes de l’école du 26 au 28 Mars 2010. Si vous êtes interessés par le graphisme ou la décoration d’intérieur, vous pourrez en plus en profiter pour découvrir les travaux des étudiants de l’école.
Cette exposition présentera une dizaine de mes oeuvres préférées imprimées sur des panneaux ainsi que quelques originaux dont les vanités que vous connaissez à présent.

The latest in the Vanitas series: The Rose Vanitas, made for a little exhibit that is being held at the graphic design school I graduated from a few years ago.
The exhibit is a part of the open doors days from 26th to 28th March 2010, which you might find interesting to visit, if you are into graphic or interior design. This is a good opportunity to see the student works as well, see what is the next big trend.
Of my works, there will be around ten massive prints, as well as the vanitas originals, which are now familiar to you.

Broches | Brooches

Je viens de réaliser quelques broches et porte-clefs pour enrichir la partie bijoux de la boutique qui se vidait peu à peu. Ces supports m’ont séduite par la variété de manières de les porter: sur un pull, manteau, écharpe ou sac… J’ai apprécié ce côté caméléon. Le prix est mini également puisque tous les nouveaux produits sont à 15 euros.

I’ve just updated my Etsy shop with new brooches and keychains. I enjoyed working on these new products, which I find very interesting for their versatility: you may wear them in a hundred different ways, and they always fit perfectly, whether on a scarf, a coat or a handbag… I like this chameleon side of the brooches.
All the items cost an affordable $20 USD, which is also a good thing!
